Man found apparently drowned in Lake Winnipesaukee

A man from Wolfeboro, New Hampshire, is dead after apparently drowning in Lake Winnipesaukee.

According to the New Hampshire State Police, the Wolfeboro Fire Department responded to a 911 call around 6 p.m. Thursday that a man had been found face down in Lake Winnipesaukee near Carry Beach.

The man, later identified as Thomas A. Lennon, 65, of Wolfeboro, was pulled to shore by officers and bystanders. Life-saving measures were attempted, but the man was pronounced dead.

According to the Marine Patrol Unit, the death is not suspicious. However, all aspects of the incident are still being investigated by the NH State Police.
