THE ONRamp ON 275 WEST. NUMEROUS POLICE OFFICERS ARE THERE WHILE WISHING TO MAKE THIS ARREST, INCLUDING ONE POLICE OFFICER STANDING AT THE ENTRANCE TO THE DRIVEWAY AND BLOCKING TRAFFIC FOR ABOUT A HALF HOUR OR SO. WE RECEIVED SOME INFORMATION FROM THE COVINGTON POLICE EARLY THIS DAY THAT THE PERSON ARRESTED EARLY THIS DAY IS ALEX ABBOTT. HE WAS CHARGED WITH FIRST DEGREE ENDANGERING. A DOMESTIC CHARGE AS WELL AS UNLAWFUL ALIENATION AND FIRST DEGREE ESCAPE. OBVIOUSLY IT ALL STARTED ON THE CORNER OF HANS PIKE IN SOUTH COVINGTON, WE ARE STILL WORKING TO GET MORE INFORMATION THIS DAY. Police: 1 person in custody after nighttime chase in Northern Kentucky

A man is in custody after a large police presence that ended in a foot chase in Crestview Hills. The scene has cleared, but around 4:30 a.m. numerous police officers from multiple agencies were on scene, including one officer blocking traffic to the westbound I-275 on-ramp. According to Covington police, Alex Abbott was arrested and charged with reckless endangerment, a domestic battery, false imprisonment and eluding police. The chase began in south Covington, officials say. This story will be developing and updated as we receive more information.

A man is in custody following a large police response that ended with police pursuing a suspect on foot in Crestview Hills.

Although the scene of the accident had disappeared, numerous law enforcement officers from multiple agencies were on scene beginning at about 4:30 a.m., including one officer blocking traffic onto the westbound I-275 ramp.

According to Covington police, Alex Abbott was arrested and charged with reckless endangerment, domestic battery, false imprisonment and eluding police.

The pursuit began in south Covington, officials say.
