Pedestrian killed in Dale County crash, coroner says | WDHN

DALE COUNTY, Alabama (WDHN) – A pedestrian was killed in a traffic accident early Saturday morning.

Dale County Coroner John Cawley said the accident occurred at mile marker 37 on U.S. Highway 231 in Newton.

Cawley is at the scene of the accident and says they are currently looking for the identity of the deceased.

Once the identity of the deceased has been established, Cawley will notify next of kin and then provide us with the name of the deceased.

No further information is available at this time. First responders are still investigating the incident.
