Police investigate armed robbery at gas station in Hamden

HAMDEN, Connecticut (WTNH) – Police are investigating an armed robbery at a gas station in Hamden Thursday morning.

An employee at the Citgo on Whitney Avenue told News 8 that a person wearing a ski mask and carrying a knife entered the store around 2 a.m. The suspect took cash from the register and then fled.

The employee said such a crime had never occurred in the store before, but police have the surveillance footage.
