Britney Spears shared a new Instagram post updating fans about her injured foot following last week’s accident at Chateau Marmont. She revealed that she might need surgery to fix the problem.

When I shared snippets from my latest riding session on Monday (May 6th), I captioned the video: “I really wish my life was as wild as it’s portrayed to be!!!” Anyway, there’s actually something to it happened to my foot and I might have to have surgery… I’m keeping my fingers crossed, hopefully not.”


A few days after sharing videos of her injured and swollen foot on the train platform, Spears revealed that she injured herself at a hotel in Los Angeles. She explained that she attempted a risky jump in the Marmont’s living room early on the morning of May 2 and initially thought it was just an ankle sprain.

The local fire department received a report of the incident at around 12:42 p.m. and arranged for an ambulance to be dispatched to the hotel. Photos taken at the crime scene showed the musician leaving the building barefoot with his alleged friend Paul Richard Soliz. The LAFD later confirmed to Billboard that paramedics left the scene around 1:17 a.m., without saying whether they attended or treated Spears.

In her most recent post, Spears addressed her appearance in the photos from that night, explaining, “I was in my pajamas and yes I was crying because I hurt my foot!!! No breakdown!!!”

She added: “I’m a grown woman who is actually very naive in most situations!!!”

Spears recently revealed that her foot injury is more serious than she initially thought. In a previous post, she had mentioned that “paramedics showed up at my door and of course caused this huge scene that was so unnecessary and all I needed was ice.”

“Psss, this man is wonderful!!!” The “Woman in Me” author added at the time, sharing a photo of her longtime lawyer Mathew Rosengart. “He is like a father to me and he got me through last night!!! I adore and admire you Mr. Mathew!!!”

Spears is known as a pop artist who primarily focuses on dance-pop within the genre. After her debut, she was recognized for her role in reviving teen pop in the late 1990s.

In January 2024, rumors spread that Charli Spears denied these claims and reiterated her decision to permanently retire from the music scene. Still, she mentioned that she had written over 20 songs for other artists in the past two years.
