Second man arrested and charged in shooting of two people in Robeson County

ROBESON COUNTY, NC (WBTW) — A Maxton man faces aggravated assault charges in connection with a shooting Wednesday that left two people seriously injured.

Jerry Oxendine, 70, of Maxton was arrested Saturday in Wilkes County on charges of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill, aggravated assault and possession of a weapon by a convicted felon.


Oxendine’s son Trevor was arrested on Thursday on similar charges.

Officials say they are responsible for the May 22 shooting at a home on Ironhorse Drive in Maxton in which two people were shot.
