Local man killed in motorcycle accident in Ohio

CADIZ TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WTRF) – A man was killed in a motorcycle crash on US-22 in Cadiz Township Friday evening.

According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, 59-year-old Robert Hettick Jr. of Freeport was traveling westbound at about 9:05 p.m. when he struck a railing on a curve.

Hettik was pronounced dead at the scene; the accident is still under investigation.

The Harrison County Sheriff’s Office, Cadiz Fire, Hopedale EMS and ODOT assisted the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
