Restaurant manager brutally attacked by guest over a glass of lemonade

A restaurant manager in Michigan was hospitalized after she was attacked by an angry customer. Susan Rains told WJBK that a group of customers at a seafood restaurant in Livonia were upset with their order and offered to deduct the meal from their bill.

However, she did not remove the charge for her drinks, which further angered customers as they refused to pay.

While the group was arguing with Rains, a member of the group was later identified as Deshaun Kelly, attacked her.

“He first spilled the drink on me and then slammed it on the side of my head,” Rains told the news station. “Then he just punched me in the eye and I fell to the ground.”

The group then left the restaurant.

“I was told that they just walked around me like I was a piece of trash,” Rains said.

Rains was hospitalized with a concussion and a black eye. Doctors had to close the wound on her head with staples.

“I’ve been to two hospitals and too many doctors, counselors, etc. that I can’t even count,” she said.

Kelly was identified using facial recognition software and arrested a week later. He was accused of assault.

Rains continues to recover from her injuries and prepare to return to work.
