Sexual harassment of a classmate; Students assassinate Imam of Muhammadi Mosque – INDIA – GENERAL

JAIPUR: Madrasa students killed an imam for sexually abusing their classmate. The murder took place in Ajmer, Rajasthan. The Imam of the Muhammadi Mosque in Ajmer, Maulana Muhammad Mahir, was killed. Ajmer police said six minors were taken into custody. They confessed to police that they killed the imam because he had sexually abused their classmate. The murder occurred on April 27th.

The police commissioner said investigations revealed that Mahir had sexually exploited one of the madrasa students. The imam threatened the student saying he would reveal everything. However, the students decided to kill the imam when he continued the sexual harassment. Mahir was beaten and killed by strangling his neck.
