ELYRIA, Ohio – A 23-year-old Broadview Heights man is dead after a three-vehicle crash on the Ohio Turnpike Saturday afternoon, the Ohio Highway Patrol said.

Jackson Williams died from his injuries at the scene of the accident.

Police said their preliminary investigation revealed Williams was driving east in a Subaru Crosstrek when he lost control, veered off the left side of the road and struck the concrete median barrier.

The Subaru then came back onto the road, crashed into the trailer of a semi-truck and was then struck by a Dodge Ram.

The accident occurred at 12:34 p.m. east of the Ohio 57 interchange.

Everyone involved was wearing a seatbelt, the patrol said.
