The 20-year-old man is the third person arrested in connection with Elliott’s fatal knife attack

A third person has been arrested in connection with a fatal stabbing in Elliott.

Pittsburgh police said 20-year-old Logan Smetanka was arrested in Greensburg and taken to the Westmoreland County Jail. He will ultimately be extradited to Allegheny County.

Police say he faces murder and criminal conspiracy charges in the March stabbing death of 37-year-old Marc Kovach.

Two other people were arrested in connection with Kovach’s death: Dominic Johnson, 19, was arrested at the scene and charged the next day with criminal homicide and tampering with evidence. Carlena Wells, 18, was arrested Thursday in Uptown and is charged with felony murder and criminal conspiracy.

According to police, there are currently no outstanding suspects in this case.
