Duxbury, Massachusetts resident killed in Vermont fire accident

Two Massachusetts residents were killed in a serious crash in Vermont early Sunday morning, Vermont State Police said. Sean Delaney, 19, and Elana Korey, 20, both of Duxbury, died when a 2006 Lexus ES330 crashed on Interstate 89 in Middlesex at about 5:04 a.m., state police said. Delaney was driving and Korey was in the passenger seat. “Upon arrival of emergency responders, the vehicle was fully engulfed in flames,” state police wrote. “The driver and passenger were pronounced dead at the scene.” State police said no other vehicles were involved and speed is believed to have contributed to the crash.

State police said no other vehicles were involved and that speed is believed to have contributed to the accident.
