Bronx killer still at large after stabbing man during argument: police

Detectives in the Bronx continue to search for the suspect behind a fatal stabbing during an argument Saturday morning.

Police said Lamont Hough, 40, of Ward Avenue in the Bronx, was fatally attacked during an argument outside a residence at 1117 Westchester Avenue in Longwood at about 7:01 a.m. on July 27.

Officials of the 41st District, When he responded to a 911 call about the incident, he found Hough at the scene with a stab wound to his upper body.

The emergency services took him to St. Barnabas Hospital, where he was pronounced dead a short time later.

So far, no arrests have been made in the ongoing investigation, police said.

According to the latest CompStat report, as of July 21, the 41st Precinct had reported two homicides year to date, compared to seven by the same time in 2023.
