Former USC receiver Jordan Addison arrested near LAX for suspected drunken driving – NBC Los Angeles

Jordan Addison, an NFL receiver who plays for the Minnesota Vikings and was on the USC football team, is facing drunken driving charges after he was found asleep at the wheel of a car near Los Angeles International Airport.

California Highway Patrol officers were dispatched around 11:10 p.m. Friday to a report of a stalled vehicle blocking lanes from westbound Freeway 105 to northbound Sepulveda Boulevard, a CHP statement said.

According to the CHP, officers on scene reported a white Rolls-Royce blocking the No. 1 lane of the highway “while the driver was asleep at the wheel.”

Addison, 22, was arrested at 11:36 p.m. after a drunken driving investigation was completed. He was released at 1:36 a.m. Saturday, the CHP added.

The Vikings issued a statement on Sunday saying, “We are aware of the arrest of Jordan Addison last Friday and are currently gathering additional information regarding the incident.”

Before attending USC, Addison was an All-American at Pittsburgh in 2021 and winner of the Fred Biletnikoff Award as the best receiver in college football. He transferred to USC in May 2022 and was selected by the Vikings in the first round, 23rd overall, in the 2023 NFL Draft.

In his rookie season, he caught 70 passes for 911 yards and 10 touchdowns.

Addison, driving a Lamborghini Urus, was stopped on July 20, 2023 and charged with speeding and reckless driving before reporting to his first training camp with the Vikings.
