Teenager shot dead in the Bronx: Police

LONGWOOD, Bronx (PIX11) – A teenager was shot and killed in the Bronx on Sunday, police said.

Police said the 13-year-old boy was shot once in the leg near Simpson Street and Westchester Avenue around 8:30 p.m.


Sources told PIX11 News that the boy appeared to be an innocent bystander who said he heard an argument and then gunshots before he was shot.

According to sources, two men were seen running away.

According to police, the teenager was taken to the hospital to treat his injuries.
