EOU raids on the premises of suspended police officer Tanveer Ahmed

Patna (Bihar) (India), September 3 (ANI): The Economic Crimes Unit on Thursday raided the residence of suspended police constable Tanveer Ahmed in Patna and Bettiah.

Ahmad was the Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) of Paliganj, Bihar. The Bihar government suspended him from his post on July 15 for allegedly being involved in an illegal sand mining case.

He is being investigated for accumulating disproportionate wealth after being involved in illegal sand mining, the EOU said.

The unit has found evidence of the suspended DSP’s links with the sand mafia and raids are continuing at many places where he is involved, the EOU said. (ANI)
