Man arrested for shooting and killing man in northeast El Paso

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — According to the El Paso Police Department (EPPD), a man was arrested on Monday, July 8, for allegedly shooting another man in northeast El Paso.

Tristan Alexander Colgrove, 24, was taken into custody and booked into the El Paso County Detention Center on $1,000,000 bail, according to the EPPD.

On July 8, officers responded to a welfare check in the 5300 block of Byron St., the EPPD said.

When officers arrived, they found a 26-year-old male victim suffering from a gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene, EPPD said.

According to EPPD, a warrant for Colgrove’s arrest has been issued for murder.

This is the 10th murder in 2024, compared to 20 in the same period last year.
