Man died after crashing his car into the river

PIKE COUNTY, Ala. (WDHN) – A Louisville, Alabama man was killed in a car accident in Pike County.

According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, 66-year-old James Otis McCray was killed Thursday morning when his 2000 Honda CR-V left the road on Highway 103, struck a traffic sign and plunged into a river.


According to police, McCray was not wearing a seatbelt. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The crash occurred about six miles east of Banks.

The accident is being investigated by the Highway Patrol Division.
