2 dead, 19 injured in shooting in Detroit

SAN FRANCISCO: Two people were killed and 19 injured in a mass shooting in Detroit early Sunday, according to preliminary reports from Michigan State Police.

State police, which is assisting Detroit police in the investigation, said in a tweet on Sunday that no one had been arrested in connection with the incident, Xinhua reported.

The victims were taken to St. John Hospital, local media reported.

Detroit reported another shooting on June 1, when four people were shot at a street festival with more than 100 participants. – Bernama, Xinhua
