TI and Tiny file motion to dismiss sexual assault and assault charges

In January of this year, TI and his wife Tameka “Tiny” Harris were sued by an anonymous woman who accused them of drugging and sexually assaulting her in 2005. The couple immediately denied the woman’s allegations, calling them “extortionate.” Now they have asked a judge to dismiss the lawsuit entirely.

“All of the claims asserted in the Complaint are time-barred because the statute of limitations for such claims expired over sixteen years ago,” their attorneys write. “In addition, despite the fact that Defendants Clifford Harris (“Mr. Harris”) and Tameka Harris (“Ms. Harris”) (collectively, “Defendants” or “Harrises”) deny that any of the alleged conduct ever occurred, the Complaint fails to set forth facts that adequately support the claims asserted in the Complaint.”

“Here, plaintiff had, at best, until December 31, 2007 to file the present action based on the facts alleged in the complaint,” they add. “Therefore, this present action, filed over sixteen years after that statutory deadline – 18 years after the occurrence of the facts alleged in the complaint – is barred by the statute of limitations, along with all of the claims alleged in the complaint.”

Shortly after the woman filed the lawsuit, TI and Tiny accused her of blackmailing her for years. “On the heels of positivity, negativity always rears its ugly head,” they said AllHipHop. “This plaintiff has been threatening to file this lawsuit for THREE years. For THREE years we have strongly and categorically denied these allegations.” They also accused the alleged victim of changing her story multiple times.
