Person in Schodack hit and killed by Amtrak train

State police are investigating after an Amtrak train struck and killed a person Friday morning.

Police responded to the River Road area in Schodack shortly before 9 a.m. and found a person dead.

Service between Hudson and Albany was delayed about an hour around noon Friday because some tracks in the area were closed for the investigation, Amtrak said.
