Houston Texans 2024 schedule release tentatively set for May 15

The Houston Texans will know the times and dates for all 17 games of the 2024 season.

HOUSTON — The Houston Texans’ 2024 schedule will be released next week.

We already know the 17 opponents Houston will face next year, but it’s unclear when the games will be played. The Texans will play eight games at home and nine away.

It’s unclear how many games Houston will get in prime time after a surprising run to the 2023 AFC Divisional Playoffs. Houston ended up losing to the Ravens after beating the Cleveland Browns in the Wild Card round of the AFC.

It’s been a busy offseason for the team.

The team recently unveiled new uniforms that will be worn during the upcoming season.

Houston also made several moves to strengthen its roster, including signing free agent defensive lineman Danielle Hunter and trading the Bills for wide receiver Stefon Diggs.

The Texans also made several selections in the NFL Draft, including taking Georgia cornerback Kamari Lassiter and Notre Dame offensive lineman Blake Fisher in the second round. Houston ended up drafting seven more players before the draft ended.

Sophomore receiver Tank Dell, who was injured and missed the rest of the season after playing in 11 games his freshman year, was shot and killed at a party in Florida. He is expected to make a full recovery.

Houston’s top two picks in 2023, quarterback CJ Stroud (2nd overall) and defensive end Will Anderson Jr. (3rd overall), both earned Rookie of the Year honors during their rookie season.
