Scranton man sentenced to prison and probation for Grand Junction theft | Raccoon Valley Radio

Jessie Sanders

A Scranton man was recently sentenced to prison and probation for a theft in Grand Junction.

According to court records, 23-year-old Jessie Sanders pleaded guilty to fourth-degree larceny. All but 10 days of his 60-day sentence were suspended and he will be placed on probation with the Boone and Greene County Probation Department for one year.

The charges stemmed from an investigation by the Greene County Sheriff’s Office last March. Sanders was seen in a trailer next to his residence at 800 Percival in Grand Junction. Sanders pulled up the carpet and removed items from the trailer that was being worked on to show another tenant.

Sanders was also ordered to pay over $1,200 in fines, surcharges, attorneys’ fees and court costs. According to the plea agreement, his Class D sentence for third-degree burglary was changed to aggravated felony and his simple felony count of fifth-degree criminal mischief was dismissed.
