12-year-old autistic girl found dead in Fulshear Lake, police said

FULSHEAR, Texas (KIAH) — A 12-year-old Fort Bend County girl was found dead in a lake near her home, police said.

Aisha Adebayo was found around 5 a.m. Thursday morning, Fulshear police said. They believe she accidentally drowned in the lake.


Adebayo was declared missing after he was seen near the 29000 block of Aaron River Trail in the Cross Creek Ranch neighborhood of Fulshear around 8 p.m. Wednesday night.

A surveillance camera recorded her leaving her house wearing a black shirt and blue shorts.

According to the police report, Aisha suffered from non-verbal autism and was known to hide in unlocked cars and backyards.
