New York Police Department paramedic arrested and charged with assault in Queens during domestic dispute: NYPD – QNS

An off-duty New York Fire Department paramedic was arrested at his home in Northeast Queens shortly before midnight Wednesday after police from the 111th Precinct in Bayside responded to a 911 call about a domestic dispute.

Min Park, a 31-year-old emergency medical technician, was involved in a verbal argument with his girlfriend at home that escalated into violence. Park was charged with assault, menacing, false imprisonment and harassment and was arraigned in Queens Criminal Court on Thursday.

According to the criminal complaint, the girlfriend told police that Park took a pair of scissors and a crochet hook and raised them slightly while saying, “I’m going to kill you.”

When she tried to escape from the house, Park allegedly grabbed her arm and held it for about ten minutes, preventing her from leaving the house.

Park was ordered to appear in court on August 12.
