Apartment planned at 715 Main

Every unit counts. The downtown residential market will increase by one apartment under plans prepared by architect Kathleen Kinan. Avalon Development plans to convert the second-floor offices at the rear of 715 Main Street into a one-bedroom apartment of approximately 1,000 square feet.

City Wine Merchant and offices will remain on the first floor of the building. An entrance will be restored on E. Tupper Street to access a vestibule and stairs leading to the unit. Chris Jacobs’ Avalon Development purchased the building in 2008 and did a complete renovation of the property, including a new brick facade along Main Street.

The facade work requires approval from the Preservation Board, which will review the project at its meeting this afternoon.
