Investigation into police-involved shooting underway, heavy police presence at BP in metro Atlanta – WSB-TV Channel 2

ATLANTA – Multiple police agencies are at a gas station in metropolitan Atlanta early Monday morning investigating a shooting involving an officer.

A Channel 2 Action News The photographer saw evidence markers, crime scene tape and a car with bullet holes, all at a BP gas station on Fulton Industrial Boulevard near Interstate 20.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation confirmed that it was requested to come to the scene by the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office.

Channel 2’s Bryan Mims is on the scene working to learn more for Channel 2 Action News This Morning.

The Georgia State Patrol, as well as South Fulton and Douglasville police, are also on scene investigating this shooting.

What exactly led to this shooting is currently unclear.
