Escaped peacocks in Mansfield cause minor traffic accident

MANSFIELD (1080 KRLD) – Six peacocks are safe after causing a disturbance in Mansfield. Police say they were called to a minor accident in the city that was caused by a peacock in the road.

When officers arrived on scene, they could not see any birds, but after searching the neighborhood, they found three peacocks and another trio a few blocks away.

Police have no idea where they came from, but all six are doing well and are being cared for by Mansfield Animal Care and Control.

The peacocks will probably be taken to a farm.
