Cooking oil stolen, 4 arrested for drunk driving: Newtown Twp police

NEWTOWN TOWNSHIP, PA — Newtown Township Police reported the following incidents and arrests between June 1 and June 6:

1 June

  • At approximately 2:45 a.m., police stopped the driver of a Nissan Pathfinder for violating traffic laws in the area of ​​Newtown Bypass and Woodbourne Road. While speaking with the driver, the officer detected the odor of alcohol. The driver failed to pass field sobriety tests and was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol. Suspicious narcotics and drug paraphernalia were discovered and seized as evidence. The driver refused to submit to a blood draw for chemical testing. Charges are pending.

2th of June

  • At approximately 9:45 a.m., police stopped the driver of a Honda Pilot for violating traffic laws in the area of ​​Newtown Bypass and Woodbourne Road. As a result of the investigation, the driver was taken into custody on a warrant issued by the Bucks County Sheriff’s Department and was released without incident.

3rd of June

  • At approximately 3:45 a.m., police conducted a traffic stop on a Ford Edge driver for violating traffic laws in the area of ​​Washington Crossing and Stoopville Roads. During the investigation, suspected narcotics and drug paraphernalia were discovered and seized as evidence. Charges are pending.
  • At approximately 6:30 p.m., police stopped a Honda Pilot driver for violating traffic laws in the 200 block of Stoopville Road. While speaking with the driver, the officer noticed the odor of alcohol. The driver failed to pass a satisfactory breathalyzer test and was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence. Charges are pending pending blood test results.
