Pedestrian loses his life after accident on I-240 and Poplar

MEMPHIS, Tennessee – One person died when he was hit by a car Saturday night, police said.

At 3:33 a.m., officers responded to a fatal pedestrian crash in the area of I-240 and Poplar Avenue.

Officers found a victim who was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver was taken to Regional One in non-critical condition.
