“Spitfire”: 9-year-old girl killed in motocross accident

Brook Carlton, 9, was killed June 2 while enjoying her favorite pastime. She was riding her electric motorcycle on an off-road trail in Lake Elsinore when she was struck in an accident by another juvenile, who sustained minor injuries. According to the Riverside Sheriff’s Department press release, officers from the Lake Elsinore Sheriff’s Station and Cal Fire responded to the 20700 block of Cereal Street to provide medical aid to a juvenile. Upon arrival, officers found Good Samaritans performing life-saving measures on an unconscious juvenile. The juvenile was riding an electric motorcycle on a trail designated for off-road vehicles when she was struck by another juvenile, who was also riding an off-road motorcycle. One juvenile was treated at the scene for minor injuries, and the unconscious juvenile was taken to the hospital.
