  • Asian, American and Pacific Islander Restaurant Weeks | Ongoing until Saturday June 15 – The fifth annual celebration of the culinary heritage of Houston’s AAPI communities continues at this citywide event. With a donation of $25 or more, people can unlock the AAPI Restaurant Week digital passport with a QR code to access special offers from more than 50 AAPI and AAPI-owned restaurants, Be More Pacific and Blood Bros. BBQ at Fung’s Kitchen and Kau Ba. . Prices and times vary.
  • 20th Annual Woodlands Wine and Food Week | From Wednesday June 5 to Saturday June 8 – Wine and Food Week celebrates its 20th anniversary with a week of individual gastronomic delights and culinary events. Highlights include Aruba Fusion: Stretch, Sip & Savor and Wine Around the World on Wednesday, Get Frosted at Rosé Way on Thursday, Sip, Suds and Savor on Friday, and topped off with the Wine Rendezvous Grand Tasting & Chef Showcase on Saturday. Prices and times vary.
  • Vampire Weekend in concert at 713 Music Hall | Thursday June 6 – Fresh off the release of Only God was above us, Vampire Weekend brings its catchy pop melodies downtown while embarking on a 45-city tour across North America. $34 and up. 7 p.m.
  • Opening Night: The Big Show 2024 at Lawndale Art Center | Friday June 7 | FREE – Lawndale’s annual Giant Exhibition returns for its 40th year, showcasing new works from artists practicing within a 100-mile radius of the art space. More than 140 pieces were chosen by this year’s guest juror, Dr. Laura Augusta, and the annual summer exhibition often draws large crowds to opening night at the Main Street gallery. 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
  • 30th Anniversary Party at Saint Arnold Brewing Company | Saturday June 8 – Texas’ oldest craft brewery is celebrating 30 years of brewing beers with an all-day birthday party. The festival will feature several renowned Bayou City musical artists collaborating for the first time, including Kam Franklin, Devin the Dude, Robert Ellis and Fat Tony, as well as food and drinks throughout the day, as well as commemorative glassware and related products. $15 and up. 2 p.m. to 10 p.m.

  • From the table to the stage with Chris Shepherd: David Chang on stage | Monday June 10 – James Beard-winning chef and owner of Momofuku, as well as host of Ugly Delicious on Netflix, David Chang completes the ongoing Table to Stage series with chef Chris Shepherd. Since last fall, Shepherd has sat down with exciting voices in the local and broader culinary scene for intimate conversations about inspirations, careers, and audience questions. $45 and up. 7:30 p.m.
  • Harold and Kumar go to the White Castle 20th Anniversary Outdoor Movie Night at Asia Society Texas Center | Friday June 14 – Celebrating the 20th anniversary of the classic Stoner comedy, Asia Society Texas is hosting an outdoor screening, featuring a Burger-chan version of the White Castle slider, a trivia game and free beer, soju and cocktails. $30. 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.
  • Megan Thee Stallion in concert at the Toyota Center | Friday June 14 and Saturday June 15 – The Houston rap star invades the Toyota Center stage for consecutive evenings, just days before the late June release of his announced new album, Megane. $100 and up. 7 p.m.
  • Juneteenth at Emancipation Park | Saturday June 15 | FREE – There will be joy, unity and cultural pride as Emancipation Park invites all to join its annual Juneteenth celebration, commemorating the final implementation of the Emancipation Proclamation in Texas. The fun begins with the 2nd Annual Freedom Walk/Run from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., followed by the day’s festivities and concerts beginning at 4:00 p.m. (the crowds usually start gathering around 3:00 p.m.). Expect an evening of good music, good food, good people and good vibes. 4 p.m. to 9 p.m.
  • Os Mutantes in concert at the Continental Club | Saturday June 15 – Present since the 1960s, the very influential Brazilian rock group arrives for an intimate concert in the heart of Mid Main. $30 and up. 9 p.m.

  • Tokyo X Festival at NRG Center | Saturday June 15 and Sunday June 16 – Houston’s largest Japanese festival, the two-day Tokyo , a car showcase, anime, cosplay, music, live shows, and much more. Saturday $40; Sunday $35. Hours vary.
  • Dinger Derby for Father’s Day at Home Run Dugout | Sunday June 16 – Dads and their kids are invited to participate in a Father’s Day edition of the Home Run Derby at the Katy Cages and Batting Bar, for the top prize for best father-child duo. The winning team will receive a free 90-minute batting experience. Registration costs $10 per pair. 3 p.m.
  • Juneteenth Cultural Festival on Avenida Houston | Sunday June 16 | FREE – Along Avenida and in Discovery Green, this Juneteenth celebration features a full evening of live music, BLCK Market vendors, food trucks and a final fireworks display to close out the night. 4 p.m. to 9 p.m.
  • The Catastrophic Theater presents Tamarie’s Texan toast! at the MATCH | Thursday June 20 | In progress – It’s not summer without the annual chaos coming from the mind of Tamarie Cooper. This year’s show sees Cooper and his merry maniacs deliver a production as big as the Lone Star State. Expect references to high school football, gas station beavers, flag parades, giant cockroaches, tons of guns, Whataburger glory and much more. This production runs until Saturday August 3.   • International Yoga Day at Discovery Green | Friday June 21 | FREE – This annual summer solstice event features an evening of yoga at Discovery Green, in addition to Bollywood dancing, performances by advanced yogis and a maze walk, presented by the Attorney General of India. 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
  • New Faces of Houston Pride Festival and Parade at Houston City Hall | Saturday June 22 | FREE – A new addition to this year’s Pride festivities, this all-day festival features hundreds of vendors, performances by Billy Gilman, Lauren Sanderson and Chris Housman, and an evening parade through the streets of downtown . Viewing the parade is free; the festival costs $3. The festival takes place from noon to 6 p.m.; The parade begins at 7:30 p.m.
  • Classic Albums Live: Jimi Hendrix: Are You Experienced at Miller Outdoor Theater | Saturday June 22 | FREE – Stand on Hermann Hill to listen to Jimi Hendrix’s iconic 1967 album, Are you experienced?, note for note as Classic Albums Live brings the record to the Miller Outdoor stage. 8:30 p.m.
  • Houston SaberCats vs. Dallas Jackals at SaberCats Stadium | Saturday June 29 – The Houston rugby team caps a banner year for the franchise with a night of fan appreciation when they take on the Dallas Jackals in the final regular season game before the playoffs. $15 and up. 7 p.m.
  • 46th Houston Pride Celebration Festival and Parade at Houston City Hall | Saturday June 29 | FREE – The 46th annual Pride celebration takes to the streets of downtown Houston near City Hall for a parade that typically draws hundreds of thousands of people each year. Arrive early to celebrate the all-day festival, with live performances from K. Michelle, David Archuleta, Kayla G and Brooke Eden. Viewing the parade is free; the festival costs $5 in advance for ages 21-54. from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.; The parade begins at 7:30 p.m.
