Former Jacksonville Jaguars kicker Brandon McManus is currently being accused of sexual harassment. On Monday, McManus’ camp responded to the allegations.

Two flight attendants accused McManus of sexually harassing them during the Jaguars’ flight to London for the NFL International Series last September. More details on McManus’ alleged conduct can be found here.

McManus’ attorney Brett R. Gallaway described the allegations in a statement as “absolutely fabricated” and a mere “attempt at extortion.”

“To be clear, these are absolutely fabricated and demonstrably false allegations made as part of a campaign to defame and disparage a talented and respected NFL player. We intend to vigorously defend Brandon’s rights and integrity and clear his name by showing these claims for what they really are – an extortion attempt,” Galloway wrote in the statement.

McManus landed with the Jaguars last season after the Broncos surprisingly released him before the 2023 season. McManus had spent nine seasons with the Broncos and was the team’s primary kicker during the 2015 Super Bowl run.

McManus made 30 of 37 field goal attempts for the Jaguars last season. He converted all 35 of his extra point attempts.

In March, McManus signed a one-year, $3.6 million contract with the Washington Commanders.
