Investigation underway after woman found dead in North Miami Beach canal

NORTH MIAMI BEACH, Florida. – Police are investigating after a woman was found dead in a canal in North Miami Beach Monday morning.

According to North Miami Beach police, the woman was found dead in a canal at Snake Creek Park, 601 NE 165th St.

Authorities said officers brought the body to shore using a float and that “no third-party negligence” is suspected at this time.

Police have not confirmed how long the woman’s body was in the water before it was discovered.

Investigators said members of a dive team are currently actively working to recover the woman’s body from the canal.

Her identity has not yet been confirmed and no further information has been released.
