When will José Abreu return to the Houston Astros rotation?

Cuban player José Abreu will return to Major League Baseball with the Houston Astros after remaining with AAA affiliate Sugar Land Space Cowboys in the minor leagues. The player has improved after a very inconsistent start to the season.

“When I was going through that, and your head wasn’t in the right place, there was a point; I tell you from the bottom of my heart, I didn’t know how to hit or field. I was a little lost, but I am humble enough to recognize and try to be the best José Abreu possible”the player said.

Before being sent to the minor leagues, he maintained a poor performance with an offensive line of .099/.156/.113, while in OPS he maintained an average of .284.; With Space Cowboys he averaged .241/.313/.414, an OPS of .727in addition to hitting a home run.

Abreu will return to the Astros starting this Monday

José Abreu joined the team after signing a three-year contract for $58.5 million in 2013 from the Chicago White Sox. Abreu is expected to return this Monday with the Houston Astros when they visit the Seattle Mariners at T-Mobile Park.
