Senior school bus aide in upstate New York sexually abused girl, SP

New York State Police believe other children from the Hudson Valley may be victims.

On Wednesday, New York State Police arrested an Orange County bus driver while investigating an alleged incident

Police arrest a school bus attendant for alleged sexual abuse

According to police, the incident occurred on May 16 on a Minisink Valley Central School District bus.

Following an investigation into the alleged incident, the bus driver, 76-year-old Nicola Loguerico of New Hampton, New York, was charged with first-degree sexual abuse, a Class D felony.

He was arraigned in Middletown Town Court, where he was returned to the Orange County Jail on a $5,000 bond or $10,000 surety bond. Loguerico is due back in court in Wawayanda Town Court on May 23, 2024.

Alleged sexual abuse on the bus, more victims possible

Authorities began investigating Loguerico after receiving a tip from a school district administrator.

Investigators from the New York State SP Greenville Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI) (Orange County) were notified by the Minsink Valley Central School District Administration of an incident involving a Loguerico.

The 76-year-old is accused of sexually touching an 8-year-old girl over the past week.
