Suspected impaired driver killed after collision with parked car in west Charlotte: CMPD

CHARLOTTE (QUEEN CITY NEWS) – A man was killed after colliding with a parked car in west Charlotte, according to Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police.

Shortly after 10 p.m. on Sunday, May 5, officers responded to the 9500 block of Wilkinson Blvd.

When they arrived, they found the driver in a 2013 Cehvrolet Impala unresponsive, officials said. Reginald Singelton, 37, was pronounced dead at the scene by Medic.

Investigators believe speed and impairment contributed to the collision.

The toxicology report is pending and the investigation is still active. Anyone with information is asked to call Detective Kupfer at 704-432-2169, ext. 1.
