Former McDonald’s employee accused of raping teenage co-workers in Pennsylvania

CLEARFIELD, Pa. (WTAJ) – A former McDonald’s employee in Clearfield has been accused of raping two teenage girls he worked with.

Police said they were alerted to a possible rape after a teenage employee spoke to a counselor about the incident. According to the charges filed, the investigation led to Taylor James English, 29, of Curwensville.

English was accused of forcing the teen to have sex with him behind the Super 8 motel next to McDonald’s on Clearfield Shawville Highway in June 2023 after her shift and before the start of his shift. The teenager described the events in detail, saying that English held her by the hips and had sexual intercourse with her. She further told police that he threatened to kill her family if she didn’t say it was consensual, the criminal complaint states.

It was alleged that English also raped another female colleague, who was 16 at the time. Store management told police that English was placed on the night shift before eventually being fired for bringing a gun to work, according to the charges.

Police noted that the first victim told her that she video-called in English and threatened her with a gun to continue saying they had consensual sex. Police later confirmed that the gun they described belonged to a woman English was with at the time.

During the investigation, police said the teen described the spot behind the motel and said there was a red cooler with a white top. Police determined they found the cooler, which no one could see unless it got into the bush line behind the motel.

English was charged with rape, witness intimidation, sexual assault, witness intimidation, unlawful possession of a firearm by a person and lesser charges.
