ELYRIA, Ohio (WJW) – Elyria police are investigating a fatal accident after a pedestrian was allegedly struck and killed by an ambulance on Monday.

According to a news release from the Elyria Police Department, officers were called to the area of ​​310 East Avenue just after 3 p.m

The accident involved an ambulance and a pedestrian, later identified as 74-year-old Carol Pitzer.

This crash is currently under investigation.
