Worcester Bridge is closed after police incident

WORCESTER Bridge has been closed due to a police incident this morning.

West Mercia Police officers closed the main bridge over the town at 9.45am and reopened it an hour later.

A police spokesman said: “Please note that there is a road closure on Worcester City Bridge, Bridge Street, due to a police incident.”

“This may result in increased traffic in the area. Please find an alternative route. Updates to follow.”

The bridge reopened shortly after 10:30 a.m.
