Anguilla: Man charged over wild animal incident

Police in Anguilla have formally charged a man following an investigation into the May 6 wildlife incident.

The Royal Anguilla Police Force said in a statement that William Herbert Sr. of Island Harbor was charged with possession of unlicensed dogs, allowing stray dogs and other violations of Anguilla’s dog law.

The investigation into this matter is ongoing and the RAPF stated at this time that it has no information regarding this ongoing investigation that would indicate that the dogs in question pose a threat to the public.

Last week, police reported that three people were injured in a brutal animal attack.

The RAPF said it remains committed to ensuring the safety of all people in Anguilla.
