The first accident occurred at the intersection of Appleton and BURLEY. This is near Dineen Park in the northwest of the city, just before midnight. According to police, a 24-year-old woman recklessly crashed into another vehicle turning onto BURLEY Street. Police say the driver of that car, a 50-year-old, died at the scene. A second car carrying two people was also hit in the accident. Police say the 24-year-old driver is expected to survive

Milwaukee police arrested a reckless driver after a fatal crash left one person dead. The accident occurred at the intersection of Appleton and Burleigh at 11:54 p.m. Saturday. Police said a black Ford was driving recklessly on Appleton when it collided with a red car turning west on Burleigh. The 50-year-old driver of the red car died at the scene of the accident. The driver of the black Ford, a 24-year-old woman, was arrested. A third vehicle was also hit. The two people in that car are expected to survive. The charges remain to be reviewed by the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office.
