Watch: Bayern Munich star Alphonso Davies’ funny jersey incident in the Champions League semi-final against Real Madrid

If there was a positive side to Bayern Munich’s 2-1 (4-3 on aggregate) loss to Real Madrid in the Champions League semi-finals, it was the joy on Canadian superstar Alphonso Davies’ face as he fired again.

Davies, who spent his career in Bavaria as a left-back, was not selected in Thomas Tuchel’s team, instead replacing him with Noussair Mazraoui as a two-sided full-back. However, an injury to winger Serge Gnabry led to Davies being substituted in the first half – on the left wing. And in the second half, Davies thanked them for their faith with an electrifying rocket goal.

However, Davies’ entry in the first leg didn’t go so smoothly. Davies struggled a bit when he was brought on as a substitute. The 23-year-old almost entered the field and pretended to be one of his younger teammates! Check it out below:

Davies had put on an Aleksandar Pavlović shirt and had to be pulled back by an assistant, who fortunately spotted the mistake in time. Otherwise Bayern would have had two Pavlović jerseys on the field. At least this mishap would have been more carefree.
