Air quality warning issued for several counties Monday; some storms could bring downpours and lightning – WPXI

PITTSBURGH – An air quality advisory has been issued for Allegheny, Beaver, Butler, Armstrong, Washington, western Westmoreland and western Fayette counties for Monday. People with respiratory illnesses, young children and older adults should avoid excessive outdoor exertion today.

There will be isolated showers or thunderstorms on Monday, especially after lunch. No widespread severe weather is currently expected, but some thunderstorms could bring brief showers and lightning.

On Tuesday, the probability of rain showers and thunderstorms is slightly higher. Some thunderstorms could bring larger amounts of precipitation.

This week will remain fairly unsettled with the possibility of showers and thunderstorms each day. However, it will not rain everywhere every day.
