Person seriously injured in accident northwest of Fort Wayne – WOWO News/Talk 92.3 FM, 1190 AM, 107.5 FM & 97.3 HD2

ALLEN COUNTY, Ind. (WOWO) – One person is in critical condition following a crash in northwest Allen County Monday afternoon.

The accident occurred shortly before 1 p.m. at the intersection of West Washington Center Road and Stahlhut Road, near US 30.

According to preliminary police investigations, a car was traveling north on Stahlhut Road and the SUV was traveling east on West Washington Center Road. The two vehicles collided at the intersection and left the north side of the roadway. There are stop signs at the intersection for northbound and southbound traffic.

The driver of the car was taken to a local hospital in critical condition. The driver of the SUV was in fair to good condition and was not taken to the hospital.

The incident remains under investigation.
