Harris County Deputies Investigate Fatal Shooting, Crash on Eastex Service Road

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas (KTRK) — Authorities are investigating a deadly shooting that ended in a major crash on a Harris County highway early Sunday morning.

The Harris County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 11600 block of Eastex Service Road at 5 a.m.

At the scene, police reported finding a wrecked Ford Escape on the side of the highway. Inside the vehicle, they found a dead man with gunshot wounds. The driver’s side of the SUV had multiple bullet holes.

Authorities do not know where the victim was from or where he was going. There is no evidence that there was an exchange of gunfire.
