3 dead and 7 injured in shooting in West Philadelphia, police say

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — Three people were killed and seven others injured in a shooting at a large crowd early Sunday morning in the Carroll Park neighborhood of West Philadelphia, police said.

Police responded to a 911 call about shots fired just after 2 a.m. from the 1200 block of North Alden Street.

According to police, a 33-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene and two other men died in local hospitals.

According to police, there were several shooters.

Police said several cars were also hit by gunfire.

The police seized a weapon at the crime scene and the homicide squad is currently investigating. According to the police, they have little information about the shooters.
