PRINCE GEORGE’S COUNTY, Maryland. – A Bowie man died in a two-vehicle crash in Prince George’s County Thursday afternoon.

At approximately 1:30 p.m., officers responded to the area of ​​Central Avenue and Bright Seat Road in Seat Pleasant. They found 69-year-old Zachery Cummings suffering from traumatic injuries. Cummings was taken to the hospital where he later died.

Fortunately, the driver of the second vehicle was uninjured.

  • Man killed in shooting in Washington, DC

    WASHINGTON, DC – Authorities are investigating the fatal shooting of a man Thursday in northwest DC.

    Officers responded to a report of a shooting in the 2000 block of Bryant Street in Northeast, DC, around 3:30 p.m. Upon arrival, they found 26-year-old Hassan Kamara Jr. of Takoma Park, Maryland, who had been shot. Kamara was taken to a hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

    The investigation is ongoing.

  • Arrest in series of Lululemon thefts in Washington DC

    Washington, DC – Authorities have arrested a suspect in connection with several thefts from Lululemon stores in Northwest DC

    Early Friday morning, Third Precinct Nightclub Officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle matching the description of one involved in several shoplifting incidents. During the stop, officers identified the driver as 23-year-old Avante Demarco Greene of Northwest, who matched the description of a suspect in the thefts.

    Greene was charged with the following offenses:

    • Theft One on Wednesday, July 10, in the 1000 block of F Street, Northwest
    • Theft One on Friday, July 12, in the 3200 block of M Street, Northwest
    • Theft One on Tuesday, July 16, in the 1000 block of F Street, Northwest
