WEATHER WARNING: Heat warning issued, with heat indices of up to 109 expected

CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – With a heat index of up to 109 expected in Middle Tennessee, a heat advisory has been issued through Tuesday night.

The National Weather Service warning is in effect for Montgomery and surrounding counties until 8 p.m. Tuesday. Highs of 95 degrees today and 98 degrees Tuesday are forecast, with heat index values ​​of 105 to 109 degrees in the afternoon.

“High temperatures and high humidity can cause heat illness,” the NWS said. “Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, avoid the sun and check on relatives and neighbors.”
