Concordia Parish man arrested and accused of sexually abusing a minor

All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty.

FERRIDAY, La. (KTVE/KARD) – On July 8, 2024, detectives with the Concordia Parish Sheriff’s Office began investigating the sexual abuse of a child that occurred at a residence in Ferriday, Louisiana. During the investigation, an emergency forensic interview and sexual abuse examination were conducted at the Alexandria Child Advocacy Center.


According to authorities, the suspect is 27-year-old Donald Higginbotham III, who was booked into the CPSO jail on two counts of first-degree rape, indecent conduct with a minor, possession of a firearm as a convicted felon and two counts of possession of a controlled dangerous substance.
